Can I have goods in more than one section?

Yes. Right-click on a goods and select 'Copy'. Then right click where you require to copy the goods and choose 'Paste as Duplicate'

How do I lay my goods out in columns on the page?

Choose 'Settings | Site Settings | Layout', scroll down to 'Products', against 'Column Count for goods' enter the number of columns you need.

Click on 'Apply' to see the changes reflect in the preview.

What features are allowed for the Goods Reference?

Any printable features may be used for the Goods Reference comprising <space> with the exception of:

! Exclamation mark
" Double quotes
' Single quotes
: Colon
_ Underscore
| Vertical bar
% Percentage sign
* Asterisk

Also note, Goods References are not case sensitive, so Goods reference "ABC" is treated as the same as "abc".

How can I create my pop-ups open in a standard window rather than a pop-up window?

Please note this will affect ALL the extended information links for your store.
Go to 'Settings | Site options | Extended Information', against ' Type of Extended Information Page' use the drop down to select 'Opens in The Same Window' as a layout.

Click on 'Apply' then 'OK' to preview.

This can however be over ridden at the Goods the 'Extended Information' tab, select an exchange layout using the drop-down 'Apply'.

How can I replace the 'quantity' text field on the goods pages with a drop-down list for choosing quantity?

On the Design Tab, click on the 'Quantity:' text and look in the 'Layout Code' view (below Preview), you will see this bit of text highlighted "Quantity Prompt followed by<input type="text" name="Q_<actinic:variable name="Goods Reference/>" size="4" value="<actinic:variable name="DefaultQuantity" />" />
Replace this line with the following code

<Select name="Q_<actinic:variable name="ProductReference" />" />
<Option selected value="<actinic:variable name="DefaultQuantity" />" />1</option>
<option value="2">2</option>
<option value="3">3</option>
<option value="4">4</option>
<option value="5">5</option>

This code holds options up to '9' - but you can easily adapt it for more or fewer items.

This change will only take place on the specific layout being used for the goods. If using alternate layouts for other sections / goods you will have to replicate the above steps in the respective layout.

How do I change the look of my goods references?

With v8 you can now change the goods in the layout itself. Click on the 'Ref:' in the preview and edit the code to suite your requirements.

You can also Go to Design | Text and use the 'Go To' button to place Phase -1, ID 65.

You will see a line that reads 'Ref: %s'

'%s' will be replaced by whatever your goods reference number is.

Change the text surrounding the '%s' to change the way your goods reference numbers appear in the HTML.

How do I have the clients supply additional information about a product e.g. engraving message, color?

Edit the goods and choose the 'Prompt' tab. Enter the prompt for the more information into the 'Other Info Question' field.
When the buyer orders this goods they will then be required to enter text against the prompt defined above. The text will appear in the order on the Misc. tab.

I want people to be able to download audio files via 'rstp'. Does Creative support this?

You will not be able to use the 'File/URL' field to enter a rstp URL, but you can embed the URL of the link within the full description, using

>!!
Marks.

How can I have my own reference numbers?

Go into 'Settings | Business Settings | Options' and remove "Auto Generate Goods References" and insert number of characters you wish to allow for reference code. Open the goods details for each goods and enter the code you need.

How do I remove the "at 17.5%" from the message "excluding VAT at 17.5%" message from within my goods price for each goods?

Go into 'Settings | Site Options | Layout' and scroll down to goods, against price layout use the drop down to select option of choice.
OR

On the Design Tab, you can click on price in the preview, then in the layout code navigate to the parent layout, right click and select 'Edit Appearance', use the drop down to select layout of choice.

Click on 'Apply' to preview changes.

How do I setup an RM (Real Media) audio file to link from a goods, and stream the audio when image is clicked?

You will require inserting the HTML code within the full description of a good's details to allow the .rm extension to be used! < And >!! Denote the start and finish of HTML code within a good's full description text field.

How do I set up quantity based discounts?

This character is only needed CreativeCommercial/Desiand the information can be found in the main help file in 'Discounts | Quantity-Based Pricing'.

How do I add extra fields to goods, such as Artist/Title/Label?
