How can I apply a surcharge to selected goods that I can adjust from time-to-time without having to edit all of the goods?

Normally this can be done using advanced shipping based on weight and setting exact weights for the goods to be surcharged.
However, if your shipping is based on quantity or value then you can apply the surcharge against the individual products as follows:-

1. Make hidden goods for the surcharge.
2. Set the product price to the value of the surcharge.
3. for each of the products requiring the surcharge:-
- add a component.
- Unpicks 'Is Optional'
- Set 'Associated Product' to the surcharge product created above.
- Tick the box 'Use Associated Price'.

When the surcharge changes you will only need to change the price of the hidden surcharge goods.

How can I change the price format from 999,999.99 to the European format of 999.999,99?

You will require changing the data in the database using Microsoft Access.
- First make sure Creative Ecommerce is closed.
- Open the database CreativePemplet.mdb with Access.
- Open the table currencies.
- Scroll down to the currency that you wish to change.
- Under the column SMONDECIMALSEP, change the '.' to ','.
- Under the column SMONTHOUSANDSEP, change the ',' to '.'.
- Close Access.
- Open Creative Ecommerce.
- In 'Settings | Business Settings' on the Options tab, change the currency and click Apply. Now change the currency back to the original currency and click OK. This is necessary to force Creative Ecommerce to recognize the change in currency parameters.

Preview any goods page to check that the price is formatted as desired.

Update the site.

I need to put my currency symbol after the price.
TTo do this you need going into the 'Creative Catalog.mdb' database within the 'Site1' folder. You require Microsoft Access to do this. Do take a backup of your site before attempting any changes to the database.
Open the database and go into the 'Currencies' table. Within this is a list of all the currencies in Creative. What follows is a list of the allowable values for the ICURRENCY and INEGCURR columns of the currencies table. I have used the € symbol purely as an example, the formatting works for other currencies too.

ICURRENCY (controls positive value formatting)
0 = €9.99
1 = 9.99€
2 = € 9.99
3 = 9.99 €

INEGCURR (controls negative value formatting)
0 = (€9.99)
1 = -€9.99
2 = €-9.99
3 = €9.99-
4 = (9.99€)
5 = -9.99€
6 = 9.99-€
7 = 9.99€-
8 = -9.99 €
9 = -€ 9.99
10 = 9.99 €-
11 = € 9.99-
12 = € -9.99
13 = 9.99- €
14 = (€ 9.99)
15 = (9.99 €)

How can I put my prices in dollars or euros as well as pounds?

Select 'Settings | Business Settings | Options | Currency Settings', tick 'Also put prices in' and set to the needed currency. You will now need to enter the exchange rate, and choose a price format. You may also specify an alternative currency symbol e.g. use 'US$' instead of just '$'.

How do I set up goods so that components are charged at different prices?

If you want to have different pricing on your components, then you simply require doing the following:
1) Make goods.
2) Attach a matter to the goods.
3) Attach an attribute to the component.
4) Attach a choice to the attribute.
5) Open goods and select 'sum of components prices' from the pricing model.
6) Open Component and fill permutation box, change the price on the choice.
If you simply need to add an additional cost to the product price, then you simply need to:
1) Make goods.
2) Attach a matter to the goods.
3) Attach an attribute to the component.
4) Attach a choice to the attribute.
5) Open goods and choose 'sum of product and components prices' from the pricing model.
6) Open Component and fill permutation box, change the price on the choice .

I do not need VAT to be shown. How do I remove this to show prices only?

This can be done by editing the layout related with the Price. In the Design tab click on 'Price' in the preview and then in the layout code navigate to the parent layout, right click and choose 'Edit Appearance', use the drop down to select the appropriate layout.

Is it possible to display VAT inclusive prices on goods within the UK, and VAT exclusive prices outside EU?

It is possible to choose either VAT inclusive and / or VAT exclusive pricing within creativity is not possible however, to have the pricing structure change depending on which country the person is viewing your Catalogue from.

Is there a way to put the price for choices other than in the full description?

This is now possible automatically in v8 - use the 'Component with Selectable Permutations' layout for the component.

How do I put prices as tax inclusive?

Go into 'Settings | Site Options | Layout' and scroll down to goods, against price layout use the drop down to choose option of choice.

The price base for a wholesaler must be stock purchase price rather than Retail price as this makes it difficult to calculate price breaks.

It is possible to remove Unregistered clients from the site using the option in Settings | Business Settings | Ordering. You can then use the buy-in price as the base, and set up a price schedule for prices at 120% etc.
