Why do buyers get a 'Page cannot be displayed' error when expecting the Receipt Page?

This may be caused by a problem with the SMTP server. Actinic sends the emails at the same time as returning the Receipt Page. If sending the email causes a serious error the Receipt Page is not delivered.

This can be checked by temporarily removing the SMTP server address from 'Web | Network Setup', updating the site and placing a test order. If the Receipt Page is now displayed then the SMTP server was probably the cause of the problem, examining the file error.err in the acatalog folder on the server might indicate the nature of the SMTP problem..

How do I change the destination of the receipt 'Done' button?

At the end of the checkout phase, the customer is shown a receipt. At the bottom of the receipt there is a 'Done' button that takes you back to the starting page of the catalog (normally 'index.html'). However, it is possible to customise this button so it will take you to wherever you want it to.

To do this, go to 'Design | Design Options'. Tick 'Remove Custom Frames in Checkout' and enter the URL of the required destination page in the 'URL for Completed or Aborted Checkout' field.

When I click the done button on the receipt, I am taken to an error page with 'The page cannot be displayed' and a message of 'Cannot find server or DNS error'.

In Design | Design Options, set 'Remove Custom Frames In Checkout' and fill in the URL. You can set the indicator even if you are not using frames.

The following variables are appearing in my online receipt. I have recently upgraded to v7. NETQUOTEVAR:INVOICEADDRESS showing in the 'invoice to' field and NETQUOTEVAR:DELIVERADDRESS showing in the 'deliver to' field

The receipt template has not upgraded correctly. You need to copy a new Act_Order04.html file from the appropriate theme directory into your site working folder (normally 'Site1' and then upload your store.

If you store is based on stylesheets (css) then you need to copy an Act_Order04.html file from '\formats\themes\BusinessCSS'. If your store design is not based on stylesheets then use a file from '\formats\themes\Business'.

How do I change the layout of the emails?

You can do this by editing the specific Layout. This is available via the 'Select Page Type' drop down list in the 'Design' tab.

How do I get Actinic to go back to another web site after payment is made?

If you edit the code for the 'Done' button in the specific layout, accessible using the 'Select Page Type' dropdown on the Design tab. Click on the done button and in the layout code edit the following line

<input type="hidden" name="HOME" value="<actinic:variable name="Home" />" />

If the page you wish to link to exists in the acatalog directory, then replace the Home variable in the value field with the page name. Else enter an image link to your chosen destination.
