How do I limit the number of goods that are shown per page online? I have a section with a large number of goods, which takes a long time to load.

Creative allows you to comprise links to 'previous' and 'next' sections ( i.e. sections at the same level in the store - sometimes known as 'sibling sections').
To comprise a link to the previous section, insert the layout selector called 'PrevNextSectionLink' and use a fixed presentation of 'Link to Previous Section'. For the link to the next section, the fixed presentation you want to use is 'Link to Next Section'

I would like to have a page which lists all the goods in the section in a compact list, but then give my clients a 'More Info' link to go to a page of further information (with cart buttons).

Creative has the ability to get the 'Extended Information' pages for the goods in your store. These are normally generated as pop-up windows - containing a larger image or a longer description. It is possible, however, to also comprise add to cart button in these pages and create the page look like a standard page - rather than a special pop-up page.

Doing this means that one goods can be seen twice in the store - very useful if you want to have compact goods listings (with 'add to cart' buttons) which link to a full information page for each goods (also with 'add to cart' buttons).

How can I prompt the clients for additional information on the product page and have this information downloaded with the order?

Edit the goods requiring the additional information and enter a prompt in the text box against 'Other Info'.
Next, edit the section and tick 'Quantity on Product Page', this will add the Quantity, Other Info and Date prompts to the product page.

You will require to Click on the 'Online Catalogue' icon, on the content tree, on the Catalog Details area, click on the layout tab, under 'Section' look for 'Top Sub Section List Layout' and using the drop down select 'No Layout'.

Go to 'Design | Library | Layouts' and place the 'Section Links' group.

Right-click on any of the layouts there and select 'New Layout'. Call it 'Section Link for Registered Customers Only'.

Now double-click on this layout to edit it, and copy and paste the following code into it, in

You can then choose this layout within the 'Section Link Layout' field in the 'Section' tab of any section that you need to be hidden.

You have to change the code in this template depending on which price schedule you want the section link to be seen within. The Schedules="2" value needs to be the ID of your desired price schedule. You can find this from the 'Price Schedules' table in the ' CreativeCatalog.mdb' database.

Note: This section really requires being at the end of a list of sections, Otherwise unregistered buyers will have a gap appearing where the link must be.

Why might all of the goods in a section no longer be seen on the web site?

You may have marked 'Hide on Web Site' for the section in the Content Tree.

How do I change or modify the form of the Section Link text?

There are a couple of ways to do this depending on the requirements.

1) Select a section in the content tree, on the 'General' tab of the section details; highlight the section name and using the 'Font Color' drop down (colored box) select a color. This will apply for the particular section.

2) On the Design Tab click on a Section name in the preview and then using the 'Font Color' drops down select a color that will influence all section names over the site.

How do I customize the appearance of the Section Description?

The easiest way to do this is to highlight the section text and then use the 'Font Color' drop down on the bar above to select the color of your choice.

How do I display Sections in 2 columns other than of 1?

Select 'Settings | Site Options | Layout', scroll down to sections and against 'Column Count for First Row of Section List' and 'Column Count for Section List' enter the number of columns you wish to put.
